Posted on: 05/09/2026

The quest to crown Scotland’s most iconic goal has reached the quarter-finals.

This knockout tournament builds up to the World Cup, with the winner crowned just before the tournament begins.

In the first quarter-final, Scott McTominay’s overhead kick against Denmark decisively beat Leigh Griffiths’ second free kick against England.

The second quarter-final saw James McFadden’s long-range strike against France in 2007 outshine Kieran Tierney’s goal against Denmark from last year.

Now, David Narey’s famous strike against Brazil in 1982 faces Kenny McLean’s incredible halfway-line goal against Denmark, which secured Scotland’s World Cup qualification last November.
