Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise was honored as the best French player playing abroad.
Pierre Sage of Lens received the award for best coach in the French championship.
The UNFP also unveiled the league’s symbolic team, which includes Dembélé, Hakimi, Pacho, Mendes, Vitinha (all from PSG), Risser, Sarr, Sangaré, Thauvin (all from Lens), and Tolisso (Lyon).
In addition, Didier Drogba received the Fondaction du Football Citizen Player Trophy “for his commitment to peace and support of numerous initiatives in Africa.” The former Ivory Coast striker previously played for Marseille, Guingamp, and Le Mans in France.
